Our many years of experience behind the bars have taught us that good and balanced cocktails, in addition to quality distillate, require liqueurs of similar quality, in order to accent and highlight the mixture. However, liqueurs, despite their importance for every bar, are usually to be found behind distillates or buried in speed rails.
At Pony & Jigger, we aim to highlight the unsung heroes of the bar, the liqueurs, so that they can receive the recognition they deserve. After years of testing and experimentation, inspired by our travels, our experiences behind the bar and our needs as professional bartenders, we created our first three liqueurs, while continuing our experiments for the ones that will follow.
PONY AND JIGGER labels draw their inspiration from sideshows performers, the unsung heroes of those shows, like the female mermaid adorning the label of KERNEL @ Mahlepi spirit, the strongman on the label of MACHO @ the green apple liqueur and fortune-teller DAISY on that of our triple sec.
In circus shows, the spotlight fell primarily on the protagonists, the acrobats and beast tamers, and secondarily on sideshow performers, like the striking female mermaid, the imposing strongman and the mysterious fortune-teller. In the end, it was precisely these individual characters who differentiated one show from another, being every inch as entertaining and offering just as impressive a spectacle to the crowd as the main show, just as liqueurs offer flavor and enjoyment to the mix.
Our philosophy is to support the bartending and art community, 
which is why Pony & Jigger will not only offer scholarships for aspiring bartenders who want to expand their knowledge, but also for young artists, since, even though the former can make the world tastier, artists definitely make it more beautiful.
